playing catch- up

Just hanging out under the Christmas Tree at Grandma Smith's
Grandma had stripped her down to do some naked pictures and forgot to put her diaper back on. This was probably taken right about the time Addie peed through the background.
Addie was a kitty for her first Halloween. I did her hair and put bows in it too but by the end of the night the bows fell out and she was wrapped in blankie. People kept asking is she was a devil because her hair was peaked up like little horns.
These were taken at the pumpkin patch. Addie was not very happy with being woken up from a nap by the 30 degree wather.

Here are a few pictures from Fall time, Halloween, and Christmas preparation. Its so funny to see how much Addie has changed. I promise to try and get some pictures of Josh and i up... even if they are just for my benefit to envy our old bodies. ummm... yeah. baby weight hasn't been very kind to either of us.

new pictures

Sorry I haven't posted anything new in so long but as most of you know I can only use the library computer and i cant download any pictures there. Now that I'm visiting in Idaho I can update everything for all of you. I hope i don't overload you with too many pictures. Sorry there aren't many pictures of josh and i but we have come to realize that when there is a cute baby to photograph the parents kind of disappear into the background... or at least behind the camera.
Josh can always get her to smile and talk better than anyone else. Its sooo cute!!

The lighting is funky but her eyes are AMAZING! And her little lips are in a perfect pout.

Beautiful.

Not sure why she was so tired but she slept like this for over an hour.

I think she was getting a little sick of pictures. This expression explains her personality quite frequently. If she's not smiling she has a goofy face on like this one.

family life

dont worry everyone... we are still alive. sleep derivation is nonexistant with the new baby and no josh and i havent killed eachother off yet. (i know all of you are just waiting for it.) Addison is growing and is super cute. she has begun smiling and cooing at us on demand.. except when i finally get grandma on the phone to listen to addie talk then she is absolutely silent. as we all knew before she was born.. she can be very stubborn. addie is almost grown out of her newborn clothes now that she is just over two months old! she is very tall and scrawny and im confused about where my genes come into the picture but she is very adorable. josh is working very hard in sheridan, wy and the work is beginning to pick up because winter is coming. we think he might even be working through fridays now because of the intense workload. we arent very excited to have daddy gone more than he is home but if that is what we have to deal with to pay the bills then so be it. we were planning to be home for thanksgiving and again at christmas but now we arent sure if josh will have to work or not over this next week. our plans are still squishy but hopefully all will work out so we can see the family and josh can enjoy a vacation. im very excited about the big craft fair this year and im hoping i can make it into town before i miss the big girls day out. josh and i are also very excited to attend the forgotten carols for our third year in a row together. this will also mark the first time that we leave addie with a sitter. we are both very nervous at the idea of that but im sure it will be o.k. Twilight also comes out this weekend and im looking forward to catching that while im in idaho! dont worry im not one of those wierdos who will be standing in line overnight or anything but my excitement is at a normal level for a bored housewife looking for a few hours of fantasy. haha. well we hope to see all of you sometime or another during the holidays! have fun christmas shopping! i know i will!

Baby Addison

Hi everyone, sorry it took me so long to get a new post up but being a mom has been a little crazy! well actually i tried to post a few weeks ago but also due to being a mom i forgot my log-in and password until today. haha, oh all the things that i have forgotten recently! well baby Addie was born the 16th of september, wieghing in at a whopping 7 pounds 11 ounces and 20 inches long. the labor was long and kinda painful but from the time we were admitted to the hospital on the 16th we were only 6 hours and 39 minutes until she was born. im unable to post any pictures today due to the stupid library computers but i will post some when im in idaho this weekend. Josh has been adorable to watch as a new daddy, he melts when he holds and talks to her. i cant believe what a transformation he has had since i went into labor.... he was a huge support and held strong even through all the gross stuff. we are excited to spend the rest of our lives being parents and getting to know Addison even better.

accident prone!!

Well as most of you know by now, Josh hurt his knee a few weeks ago at a friends wedding. If you want a good laugh call him and have him tell you the story, i get a kick out of it every time i hear him tell it! Some of you may think im heartless but after almost 3 weeks of waiting on him hand and foot and being 33 weeks pregnant im pretty sick of playing nursemaid and i think i deserve to occasionally get a laugh out of his "pain". anyways, he hurt it on a saturday night (12th)when we were in idaho and we couldnt get him in to a wyoming doctor until the following thursday (17th) and they ordered an m.r.i. the next day (18th). we didnt expect to hear about the results until the next tuesday or wednesday which means if surgery was nessesary it wouldnt happen until the next tuesday(29th)! (im glad he wasnt in extreme pain or anything since we were in for a long wait.) we ended up hearing back from the doctor on the monday following the m.r.i. and josh was in for an arthroscopy (scope surgery) the next day! it turned out that he had only broken off some cartilage under the knee cap and the a.c.l. was intact. we really were quite lucky given the situation and hopefully josh will be back to work in another 2 weeks. hopefully. he is feeling pretty good i think and is always getting better. i think he is beginning to see how tired i am of being pregnant and having to help him out more than usual so he is trying to get more mobile. we have had a pretty exciting few weeks and the baby will be here soon! both of us are getting really excited to hold the baby and to feel like a family instead of newlyweds. thanks for all of your support!

getting to know Josh

Josh is a very kind, funny, and hard working man. He recently graduated from the Northwest Lineman College in Meridian, ID, and is currently employed in an apprenticeship in Powell, Wyoming. He enjoys his job very much and is hoping to eventually be employed in south eastern Idaho so we can raise our family close to home. Josh played football and basketball in high school and still enjoys some competition every now and then. He knows 'almost' every word to any country song ever written and loves to play "Who sings it?" with me in the car. I try to let him win on occasion:) We have been married for a year and a half and i cant imagine my life without him. He works very hard to support our family and he rarely complains about me being a lazy housewife. I love him very much and i cant wait for our daughter to meet and love her daddy like i do.

official bloggers!!!!!

Hello everyone!! well i have finally created a blog even if im too boring to post anything. we dont have the internet at our home in wyoming but i will post as frequently as possible. im sure this page wont be very exciting until after the baby comes in september, but i know i wont have the time to set it up then so here goes. i hope you can enjoy it!!!
